AKYO Pool Operator

About the Operator

Kyosuke Takatsuki

Cardano Stake Pool Operator

Location: Tokyo, Japan

Why I became an SPO

As I became more involved with Cardano, I started thinking about what I could do for Cardano. With that in mind, I wanted to contribute to Cardano by operating a stake pool and supporting the network, so I started operating “AKYO Pool” on March 20, 2021. At first, there were many things I didn’t know, and I started out learning how to set up and operate nodes one step at a time. However, actually operating a stake pool gave me the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of how Cardano works and its technology. I continue to be involved with Cardano’s network and technology today, including by participating in all of its testnets.

Background and activities

AKYO, formerly WYAM, has maintained reliable node operations and consistent block production for more than five years. Alongside contributing to Cardano’s decentralization and resilience, I support fellow SPOs and take part in community activities.

With stable block production and responsible operation as the foundation, AKYO will continue contributing to the growth of the Cardano ecosystem.

Selected for IOG delegation

In the third round of IOG’s delegation program, AKYO was selected as one of 100 pools through community nominations by fellow SPOs. I remain deeply grateful to everyone who recommended AKYO.

Cardano governance activities

Constitutional Committee (CC)

Served as a Constitutional Committee member of the Cardano Japan Council (CJC). As CJC’s Technical Lead, I was responsible for technical matters and, as a CC voter, assessed the constitutionality of each Governance Action and published the reasoning behind those decisions.

Term completed on September 2, 2026.

DRep

Served as a DRep from September 2, 2024, through September 17, 2026. With voting power entrusted to me by my delegators, I reviewed and evaluated governance proposals and cast my votes accordingly. I also placed importance on transparency in my voting decisions and published a Rationale explaining the basis for nearly every vote.
