How to Participate in Governance

In Cardano, ADA holders can participate in governance that helps shape the future of Cardano by delegating their voting power to a Delegated Representative (DRep).
You can also register as a DRep yourself, but in this guide, we will use the "AKYO" DRep as an example.

Participate in Governance​

  1. Select the Voting icon in the left pane, then select the wallet. daedalus-governance-1

  2. To find the DRep ID, select the "DRep Directory" link. daedalus-governance-2

  3. Search for the DRep to whom you want to delegate your voting power, then copy the DRep ID displayed at the top. daedalus-governance-3

  4. Return to Daedalus, then paste the copied DRep ID into the "Please add a DRep ID" field. daedalus-governance-4

  5. Enter your spending password, then select "Confirm".
    Your voting power has been delegated to the DRep. daedalus-governance-5
